So on this Skyline facebook group I am a member of there is a guy who just does not get that just because is 1984 300ZX AE is “rare” that it has no value. In this group you get a lot of “special” people posting regularly with the cars or without and wanting one. It’s like if Craigslist was a chat program. This one is over the top though.
He’s claiming it’s a “rare car” because it’s a Anniversary Edition version.
People were making insane claims of the value of their GTR, like one guy had this car:
Claiming it was MORE money than that stock minty one above. Skyline GTRs are worth 25k, that guy’s was $26k. On top of that IMO this thing is also absurd ugly.
Then a picture of his 300zx comes out:
I have to think this guy is a troll, then I see he’s some wishy 16 year old and think he probably actually thinks he’s got a gem lol. Some adult probably gave it to him and he actually thinks it’s worth $30k. “Someones for sure got the time to put $20k into this to restore!” he’s probably thinking lmao.

Makes me feel a bit sad for him, just a bit. I don’t think there’s a Z31 in the world worth 30K.

Am I alone in thinking $26K for an R32 is just too much? I get that the market dictates that it is worth about that much, but it doesn’t seem like a car that should fetch $26K.
ETA: To the guy with the blue R32: Say this with me, nice and slow "my mods don't add value." Stock mint cars will always be worth more than modded ones.

You are not alone. The car I think is overvalued right now.
When I bought my GTS-T a GTR was $14,000. Wait until the R33s come, if the price sticks it sticks but I bet it will not. My GTS-T was $4000 when I bought it. Now than are $10k more. It’s insane.

It’s not that R32s are worth too much as much as the market clearly doesn’t understand that his Z car is worth more.

Pure speculation on my part, but I think R32 values are going to pretty much sit right where they are. R33's will probably get towards 50K for a good GTR, more for a perfect one. I am given to understand each successive generation made fewer cars, so R34's in GTR flavor will be damn near 6 figures by the time they make it to the states.

I hope that does happen because i’m going to be buying, and storing, a R33 GTR soon betting on it. Not $50k but $30k at most is what i’m thinking. I think a VSPEC that is mint maybe might hit your mark.

Let’s hope. Like most millennial car enthusiasts, I love the R34, and would buy one in a heartbeat. Two rare editions of the R34 GTR made it to the US already. I think they were some V-Spec variant and color combo with only 300 units produced worldwide, so show and display exempt. The importer was asking $150,000 for each. If I can find a link I'll post it later.

He must be but I have met people this dumb in person when it comes to my car. I had someone offer a Z31 for it before though not this bad.

Oh I like the Z31. People do. But unlike the Mk III Supra and other hero cars, they don’t get the same love or maintenance.
